Unfortunately Pakistan does not have the required infrastructure & facilities to provide the complete healthcare solutions, especially to the underprivileged. Number of public hospitals/ clinics is far below the required figure. Moreover, most of the public hospitals lack the required facilities & private hospitals are out of public reach. Also we do not have a well developed system for the social welfare to cover the medical expenses of the poor & unprivileged. This leaves little hope for many despaired to obtain required medical services

Mr. Malik Riaz is in the process of setting up a chain of hospitals in Pakistan. Three such 60 bedded hospitals; Begum Akhter Rukhsana Trust are fully functional in Bahria Town Lahore and Rawalpindi. All funds exceeding Rs. 9.7 Million per month for the smooth functioning of the hospitals are provided by Malik Riaz. Rs. 200 Million has so far been spent on medical treatment of various patients in both cities. Hospitals are run by highly qualified doctors & are equipped with the most modern equipment. Free medical facilities are provided to the poor & needy. It is approved U/s 2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
